Choir Svítání

The Svítání choir was founded in 1996 and has been part of the Štefánikova School of Arts since 2008. It has enjoyed national and international success with numerous awards, including several ‘Golden Ray’ prizes at festivals in Liberec, Bratislava and Prague as well as a ‘cum laude’ at the European Music Festival Neerpelt, Belgium (2023). The choir has been conducted by Vítězslav Hergesel since 2006, accompanied on the piano by Shoko Ono. Every year, Svítání organises the ‘Zahrada písní’ (Garden of Song) competition with over 30 participating choirs from all over the Czech Republic.
