The Boys’ and Girls’ Choir Wanju was founded in 2016 by the Wanju Music Association in South Korea and now has 35 choir members aged between 8 and 17. The aim is to provide children in rural areas with musical education and emotional stability and to contribute to the development of music in the region. Under the direction of Jong suk Park, the choir is active throughout the country and has won the Gold Award at the Jeollabuk-do Grand Chorus Festival, among others. International concerts have taken the choir to Taiwan and China. The choir’s regular programme also includes regular charity concerts in hospitals and children’s homes.
