Choir of the Herzog-Ernst-Grammar School Uelzen

Germany

The choir of the Herzog-Ernst-Grammar School (HEG) currently consists of about 25 students from years eight to thirteen who, despite busy schedules and other hobbies, are enthusiastic about the school choir and collectively want to expand it further. Former students of the HEG also remain loyal and support the choir during concerts and the participation in the EUROTREFF. The repertoire of the choir includes well-known works of different styles and epochs: from works of the Renaissance to Romanticism, from European folk songs to ethnically influenced music. Songs from rock, pop and musicals also play an important role, as do German a cappella pieces by Oliver Gies.

For the singers, the days in Wolfenbüttel are a musical and intercultural highlight that has already led to many European friendships. A huge sense of anticipation can already be felt from the choir.
