Cor Jove del Conservatori de Badalona

Spain

The Cor Jove was created at the Badalona Conservatory in 1989, as a choral project outside academic activity. Throughout all these years, apart from its training activity, it has performed concerts, recordings and activities in many places, visiting different countries, such as France and Belgium. It has had outstanding collaborations with the Orchestra of the Teatre Lliure de Barcelona, the Barcelona Symphony Orchestra, the National Orchestra of Catalonia and the Choir of the Grand Teatre del Liceu de Barcelona. Furthermore, the choir has often taken part in the performances of several operas at the Gran Teatre del Liceu. Currently with 30 singers, it is a very versatile choir of adaptable voices, with an interest in all types of repertoires, from ancient music to contemporary arrangements. It has been conducted first by Montserrat Pi and since 2016 by Ricard Oliver.
