Maud Hamon-Loisance is the artistic and educational director of the Maîtrise de Bretagne in Rennes and co-directs Inspirations, a regional touring youth choir in the Rhône-Alpes region, which she founded in 2018. With these groups, she develops numerous artistic projects, always with a focus on individual development within the context of collaborative work. She promotes interdisciplinarity and international exchange by interpreting and staging the choral repertoire in new ways.
She studied singing and choral conducting in Rennes, Lyon and at the Berlin University of the Arts. She subsequently taught at the conservatoires in Bourg-en-Bresse and Grenoble. With the choirs “Métaphores” and “Oxymore” of the Grenoble Conservatoire, with the choir “Inspirations” and with the “Maîtrise de Bretagne”, she won several international prizes at competitions in Arezzo and Gorizia (Italy) and in Neerpelt (Belgium).
She was also honoured at the international competition for young choral conductors in Ljubljana (Slovenia) in 2009 and has since been regularly invited to international events in various countries such as Germany, Italy, Estonia, Norway, Turkey and Cameroon.
